„The Professionals“ are back!
“What In The World” erscheint am 27. Oktober – (fast) auf den Tag 40 Jahre nach “Never Mind The Bollocks”
35 Jahre nach ihrem Debut kehrt die von den ehemaligen „Sex Pistols“ Musikern Paul Cook und Steve Jones gegründete Punklegende mit einem neuen Album zurück.
Auf “What In The World” liefern The Professionals die wohl energischten und ehrlichsten Songs ihrer bisherigen Karriere.

Während einer gemeinsamen Tour von Paul Cook und Paul Myers mit Vic Goddard’s Subway Sect entstand die Idee The Professionals wieder auferstehen zu lassen. Als Ersatz für den seit einigen Jahren in den USA lebenden Steve Jones konnte Tom Spencer (The Lurkers) als neuer Frontmann gewonnen werden. Dennoch ließ es sich Steve Jones nicht nehmen auf “What In The World” bei drei Songs selbst Gitarre zu spielen. Ebenfalls auf dem Album als Gastmusiker dabei sind die Punkrock Legende Mick Jones (The Clash), Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Marco Pirroni (Adam & The Ants), Chris McCormack (3 Colours Red), Duff McKagen (Guns ‘n’ Roses) und Billy Duffy (The Cult)
“In the studio we put the songs down as a three piece but what was needed was a second guitarist’s mind, to come from another angle. Cookie dusted off his punk rock address book and made a few calls. All the guests added their own unique magic.” (Paul Cook)
