Skåne-born guitarist Filippa Nässil laid the foundation for THUNDERMOTHER in the autumn of 2009. While originally based in Växjö where she was pursuing her studies, she later relocated to Stockholm in her quest to assemble a band. Fast forward to 2024, and THUNDERMOTHER is on the cusp of celebrating its 15th anniversary, boasting an impressive track record of numerous successful tours worldwide. THUNDERMOTHER achieved remarkable success across Europe and held the distinction of being one of the world’s most active touring bands between 2017 and 2021.

Their last three albums, “Heat Wave”, “Heatwave Deluxe Edition” and “Black & Gold” all released on AFM Records, gained European top chart positions (album charts Germany #6, Sweden #8, Switzerland #15, …) as well as securing the top spot on the Swedish Hard Rock charts. Such successes could not go unnoticed – the team around the world-famous SCORPIONS grabbed the phone and asked the Swedish powerhouse if they would like to join the SCORPIONS on their 3 month North American stadium tour. Wow, what an opportunity! After this successful and smooth collaboration, there was only one option for the SCORPIONS – add THUNDERMOTHER on their European run as well. 39 shows with more than 600.000 spectators all over Europe and North America! Not to mention all the other highly-acclaimed gigs like the invitation from KISS to perform on their official „KISS cruise“, three appearances at Wacken open air plus numerous other festivals and fairs. THUNDERMOTHER are aiming to become the next headliner generation – with 2,000 shows under their belts, the prestigious Gaffa Award for being Sweden’s best Hard Rock act in 2020 on their shelves, the European double silver Impala Award on their walls and as
the only band performance out of 40 a 5/5 review from “Rocknytt” (Sweden Rock Festival 2023) in the press!

THUNDERMOTHER 2023 – this is Linnea Vikström Egg, Majsan Lindberg, Joan Massing and Filippa Nässil. One line-up, one vision, one goal! Their slogan “We fight for Rock’N’Roll” has to be taken literally! The first new single after the attention-getting line-up change is scheduled for November 03, 2023. A brand-new track entitled „I Left My License In The Future“ – jawdropping, straightforward, energetic, catchy – a potential hit! Produced again with Danish mastermind Soren Andersen (Pretty Maids, D-A-D, Glenn Hughes, Mike Tramp, …) in autumn 2023, the song will showcase globally the potential of THUNDERMOTHER in terms of vocal performance and songwriting skills. COBRA SPELL

Die internationale Sleaze Rock-Formation COBRA SPELL veröffentlicht am 1. Dezember 2023 über Napalm Records ihr langerwartetes Debütalbum 666! Gegründet im Jahr 2019 von der aufstrebenden Gitarren-Heldin Sonia Anubis (ex-CRYPTA, ex-BURNING WITCHES), wird die aktuelle Besetzung der Band durch Kristina Vega am Gesang, der Twitch-Streamerin Noelle dos Anjos an der Gitarre, Hale Naphtha am Schlagzeug und Roxy Herrera am Bass vervollständigt. Gemeinsam haben sie bereits mit zahlreichen etablierten Bands wie ROSS THE BOSS, ENFORCER und EVIL INVADERS getourt und zwei weltweit

Ihre Debütscheibe wird von einem klassischen Rock Intro eröffnet, das den Weg für die energiegeladene erste Single „S.E.X.“ ebnet, die um Kristina Vegas eindringlichen Vocals im ohrwurmverdächtigen Refrain getragen wird. Aus diesem Opener wird auch direkt die Essenz von 666 deutlich, die zweifellos im unbändigen und unverfrorenen femininen Power des Quintetts liegt. In den Lyrics werden typische Themen des Sleaze Metal der 80er Jahre aufgegriffen, aber erfrischend verdreht – besonders präsent auf Tracks wie „Satan Is a Woman“ und „Bad Girl Crew“. COBRA SPELL beschränken sich auch bei ihrer Instrumentierung nicht auf Glam Rock- und Heavy Metal-Klischees – von prickelnden Synthesizern bis hin zu einem groovigen Saxophon-Solo bei „Love = Love“ kombiniert die Band geschickt verschiedene 80s Sounds und bricht damit auch musikalische Tabus. Die außerordentlichen Songwriting-Fähigkeiten glänzen besonders auf dem eingängigen Hit „The Devil Inside of Me“ und dem emotionalen „Fly Away“, bei dem es sich um eines der langsameren Stücke auf dem Album handelt. Eingängige Melodien und mitreißende Schlagzeugmuster werden von kratzigen Rock ’n‘ Roll Vocals auf der von W.A.S.P. inspirierten Hymne „Warrior From Hell“ gekrönt, bevor das shreddernde „High on Love“ das Album gebührend abschließt.
